DID YOU KNOW?

Did You Know?
Sprouts are actually freshly germinated edible seeds such as beans, grains and nuts.
As a 'living' food, Sprouts continue to grow vitamins after being harvested.

Captain James Cook had his sailors eat sprouts, limes and lemons for their Vitamin C content to aid in curing scurvy.
During WW11 when the United States was concerned about a possible meat shortage, the scientific community advised the government that the consumption of germinated seeds was the best and the cheapest alternative to proteins in meat.
Sprouts contain an abundance of highly active anti-oxidants that prevent DNA destruction and protect us from the ongoing effects of aging.

The most powerful enzyme-rich foods are sprouted seeds, grains and legumes. Sprouting increases their enzyme content as much as 43 times more than non-sprouted foods. The enzymes in Sprouts help our body digest the nutrients in our food and boost the life-giving activity in our body.

HOT!, November 11, 2006

These have a very hot taste, like very hot radishes.
Great to put on otherwise bland sandwiches.
They sprout fast, and keep well in the fridge. Not all sprouts are created equal, and these smaller seeds seem to work the best (also broccoli, alfalfa, etc). After having sprouts for awhile, I use less and less lettuce. And you have your own supply always brewing. Home grown sprouts are crispier and juicier than the store bought variety. Yum.

Did not make it out of the house to Ocean Beach People's Food Store
as anticipated.

Got into disappointing learning glitch with Photoshop Elements 4.0
on my Imac. Finally resolved this issue with tech support.

Turns out that text once TEXT EFFECTS are added
CANNOT be selected.

You have to make a DUPLICATE copy of the text
and then go ahead and make use TEXT EFFECTS.

These cannot be changed. This seems a flaw in the program.

Was it worth missing the OB Halloween to learn this???

Then Colin Leath came by.

That was one of the highlghts of the day.

He does not drive; He walks.

Amazing to turn into his experience of living
and being O.K. doing Nothing...wanting to be in Mindfulness.

I encouraged him to garden more.

He knows his plants.

Halloween here was a delight,
welcoming neighbors who all came at the same time.

Want to say more on that, but tired.

Asked the kids if they wanted to garden, and then raised
their hands. It was so very sweet. Very little pre-schoolers.

Lovely, Lovely experience.

I also offered some sugar cane first to parents.

kids tried it, but did not get into it.

Craig helped encourage his daughter to try it.

Gave them Diakon Radish.

I am not free to complete on making the labels.

The Rhimax paper arrived as promised.

Delightful time with Michelle today.

We began setting up Enchanted Garden things in Living Room.

Did not drink enough water today.

I feel it in my lower back.

Gratitude;

Feel less shooting pains today.

I went to therapy pool twice yesterday.

Gratitude:

Hearing Heather. Not making a big deal about candy they
bought, because that seemed the Plan.

more signage tomorrow.

Tomorrow I will complete what I wanted to finish today.

It will flow. Thank God.

All is well in the Enchanted Garden.

Colin will help with Wed set up here.
That will be a Big Aid.

He does not ride in cars intentionally.
