An Invitaion To Help Preserve Biodiversity

Seeds, the small but powerful begining of all life in its full force.

One hundred years ago ninety eight percent of all people grew their own food and seeds. Today less than one and a half percent do so. For the most part, machines have replaced the work of loving hands. Industrial agriculture produces genetically modified (GMO), nutritionless, less flavorful food, while diminishing the biodiversity of our food supply. The time to act is now!

We invite you to bring and share the best of your seeds to preserve and increase biodiversity, and make us all a stronger transformational force for positive change.

Please come with your seeds of recent year’s harvest to bio-activate biodiversity with fellow Bioneers. Now more than ever is the time to spread the diminishing botanical diversity that has been handed down from our ancestors.

Bring traditional heirloom seeds from your bioregion and, of course, only viable, organic, non-invasive, non-GMO seeds.

If you can, please bring them in seed packets, if not bulk bags and other envelopes are OK.

And for those who don’t have seeds to share please bring envelops for seeds that you need, with a commitment to grow out at least tenfold to share next year and years to come.

Whether you are a farmer, gardener, or someone who is interested in the importance of GMO free seed, you are invited to actively participate in the preservation of seed diversity Saturday Oct. 20, 6:30 PM at the Bioneers Conference.
