Surrender? by kerminator .....

Much of this came from an email that demonstrated how we must learn to sit and be still at times...

Most of our time is spent chasing useless things in life...  When you look back you will say why did I do that or how stupid I was...

Are you always looking to change your life?

Are you working hard to change your job, home, diet, improve your health, learn how to master your time yet keeping your head above the waters of daily demands? Does this describe you dear friend??

...While all around you, people are showing you how easy and effortless your life could be!!

What are you doing wrong???

When a man was trying to learn traditional archery in Japan of the 1930s, he faced a similar dilemma...

He struggled mightily to learn it.  He later said it was by far the most demanding training he had ever done.

And what was the whole purpose of this archery?  One word...

SURRENDER

The man's real task - Though dimly understood at first - was to "surrender to the shot" to allow the shooting of the arrow to be like "ripe fruit" falling from a tree.

His success was measured by how LITTLE he himself (i.e. his ego) controlled the shooting process.

Yet to get to this stage of perfect SURRENDER, of total EFFORTLESSNESS, he had to work really hard...

That's the GREAT PARADOX... you have to sweat and struggle in order to surrender.

It takes effort to enter into effortless life, where life becomes a work of art.

Mastery of anything is always effortless.  Yet that effortlessness came with a real price tag...

Surrendering to an effortless life is not as simple as we'd like to think.

But surrender to what?

Surrender to the REAL Changes in life...

More on that later.
