Day 3 - Post Fast
Not my smartest day....

I went to Whole Foods and bought some cabbage, small yellow potatoes and wandered around the place. I picked up some coconut oil that I am supposed to cook with according to Fuhrman but ended up putting the pricey little bottle down. It looked weird and I'm not really cooking right now. Besides, I've always cooked with olive oil and I'm not sure if I want to change that. I also bought some vinegars and raw goat milk. We are not suppossed to have any dairy so I'm unsure why I picked this up. Actually, who am I kidding? I know why, I wanted a spinach and feta salad this weekend. Doesn't that sound divine? I also picked up some Mesa fat free crackers and hummus. I love hummus and wanted a little bit of it but they only had "spicy" hummus with garlic and cayenne pepper. Now I rationalized this by thinking, the Master Clense folks use cayenne pepper when they fast and I used garlic in my juice drinks so surely it would be okay. So I had one cracker with 1 tsp. of this hummus. To die for good. Now I didn't get sick or anything but my stomach did not appreciate this experiment of mine. I've been burping up this 1 tsp. all day and still have a touch of indigestion! Probably a little too soon for that type of food. Ha..live and learn. That was my lunch and for breakfast I had a grapefruit and a very small nectarine. I've been giving my stomach a break for the rest of the day. Maybe I'll have another grapefruit later but that's it. Other than that I feel good about eating. Two things though: trouble sleeping at night. Especially compared to the fast where I slept so deeply. I'm back to being a light sleeper again and have trouble keeping my body still enough to rest. I keep wanting to move my legs and body around. It's annoying when you're truly tired and want to go to sleep. I'm sure this will pass with time. The other problem I'm having is even more annoying. My belly button looks like it has a rash on it. It's red, inflamed, hot and gooey. Gross! I put tea tree oil in it and some gauze over it that "breathes." My boyfriend made a major face when I told him about it. Pretty nasty. I love tea tree oil so it should nip that right in the bud. Fingers crossed.....
