Some of you will have heard your inner voice on many occasions – telling you that something is not quite right or that you should not go down a certain road. You receive inner guidance on a continual basis and it is very simple for us to ‘tune’ in and listen. All we need is a quiet space without distractions even if it is just for a couple of minutes or so. Your inner voice will also lead you to exciting and positive journeys that you may or may not chose to listen to.
You may have also heard about The book The Secret which tells you that by using the Laws of attraction you can 'attract' anything into your life.
The Secret has had some bad press which i think is wrong - it is most bad press is from a media which makes its money from advertising which is geared to encouraging us that to buy stuff will make us feel better. The same newspapers that critisised The Secret also sell their wares from headlines that create misery, when did you last see a newspaper headline that said something that helped you to feel good!
The Secret dies at least encourage a feel good factor and in my book I think thats a really positive place to start from.
I absolutely and truly believe that we are the creators of our own destiny - I also teach this to adults and children. I love the fact that we can choose to take responsibility for what we want and create stuff that really happens
A recent example for me was only a couple of weeks ago.
I have always loved the idea of having a little health shop I really enjoy all the experiences that you can get from smells, tastes, sights and sounds that blend around in a gorgeous natural health shop.
I am a psychotherapist and ayurvedic heaer so I work with herbs and the spiritual mind and this has appealed to me for many years. But I have never put my mind or creative energy into manifesting it properly. You must focus, have an intention and really love the whole idea of what you want to create and this is excatly what I describe in my little creating game book. Until you are really willing to make your creation a real choice in your life it simply will not happen
There are also other factors that The Secret does not point out and that is, if your head is full of 'inner chatter' about work, bills, relationship problems and any number of things that 'fill your head space' then you will need to 'get rid' of these first. This is simple but not easy and it takes guideance and persistence and i have been working on this for some time.
Anyway lets get to the day of my most recent creation.
As I was walking to a local store to post letters. On my walk I noticed a ‘for let’ sign above a small local shop and I stopped to read it. I was suddenly excited and felt that I should call and enquire about the vacant shop. Yes it was vacant it had been fully refurbished and was available to move in immediately. I just knew that it was a great idea for my herbs and spice combinations and right there and then I chose to bring my desire to create a new local health shop into my life!
I rushed back to my office and contacted the vendor who loved the idea of a small health shop and offered me a months free rent plus a big reduction for the next 6 months to get me started. Within one week I had moved into the shop and had many uncertain thoughts about what I had committed to. Keeping focussed on your creation is important and will ensure its success in the long run, I use creation forms which I designed and give to my students to help me stay focussed.
I opened the door to my local community only two days ago and was delighted that many people popped in and said how happy there were that I had opened. I do not know what the future holds but maybe a chain of local community health shops...?
You can create anything you put your mind to, you already do. LB
