Thank goodness for the "100%" part of 100% Raw Vegan! So much temptation today and if I was say 95% Raw Vegan I would have taken at least a bite -- and then that would have elongated my struggle all the longer! (Tonight I made Jambalaya with Sausage for the family, plus there are all manner of cheeses and other temptations in the refrigerator.)
Went on my walk again today and gathered dandelion greens, also went to the store and got more watermelon (two of them since they are so good and I wanted smaller ones that can fit in the frig once I cut them). I got other provisions too, especially for the green smoothies. Both me and the store were out of ripe bananas today so I did not do the green smoothie today. I made a raw vegetable broth today (per Dorit in the recipe book CELEBRATING OUR RAW NATURE). I forgot the mint and added too much salt so tomorrow I'll fix it by adding more carrots, etc. It will be blander but good I think...
Today I ate watermelon for my first meal (and now for my last meal), cucumber-tomato salad, and a raw chocolate concoction (just not frozen into a bar this time). I can't think of anything else I ate, but surely I'll have some goji berries tonight too, just a few.
Oh, and I found the way to get over my obsessive eating with the oh-so-expensive but oh-so-super goji berries: I don't like the taste of the Tibetan ones quite as much (they are fresher and have more raisin-like flavor to them). They're okay but it's EASY to stop at one handful. ;)
I am SOOOO glad I am working hard to stay raw vegan. My physical ailments are getting detectably better and I can tell I am cleansing too, even without colonics or enemas (yea!!) -- especially on days I drink the green smoothies. I sometimes also take some cascara sagrada by the way.
Thanks for reading, and here's wishing you a RAWSOME day!
