Day 14 into 15
Busy but productive days

I felt physically weak most of the afternoon (after mowing the lawn) but pepped up enough for a couple mile walk with my kids by the evening. It is so wonderful to have them home. Last night they read and played game boys in a tent in the yard and are currently squealing in delight with a laundry basket full of water balloons (must have taken them an hour to fill them all).
I would love to be out there with them (I did get out there just long enough to get drenched) but have tons of laundry they brought home from their dad's (need to get everything clean before they go back later this week). Tomorrow we are having our house pressure washed so I'm also running around removing the bbq from the deck, moving the wood pile away from the house, getting my gardening stuff out of the way, ect.
I went to Trader Joes today to stock up with a few bottles of maple syrup. It was saddening to think this is the last time I'll need to do it for the rest of my fast. I still have 15 days to go but I feel like it is winding down already.
This MC has been so different for me. During past fasts I would cook foods I didn't like for my family (foods they like such as shells and cheese or spaghetti). This time I'm intentionally making foods I love and enjoying just the preparation. I'm not even tempted to eat them.
Also other MCs I've drank much more lemonade. This time I have to count to be sure I'm getting six a day. There have been no times that I wanted to end my fast; I have absolutely no doubt I will complete my whole 30 days. Stress at work, chaos at home, a busy schedule, yet nothing is getting in the way of my fast. For that I'm proud.
The best part of fasting, in my opinion, is the extra time I take for myself. Rarely outside a fast do I soak my feet, use a facial mask, sun bathe, or just sleep in if I want to. The challenge for me will be to continue to take care of myself after this part of my journey is through.
