im back from down under
just letting those who want to know how im going
Date: 8/11/2006 12:31:31 AM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 3312 times hi all im back from my two months down under. had an absolute blast. just checking in to let those who want to know how i am doing. basically i drank alcohol and partied for 8 weeks straight. hard not to do when you are constantly catching up with wonderful family and very good friends. however i did manage to keep my exercise routine, i didnt miss many days at most 1/2 days a week. it was great to run and walk in such natural beauty really wonderful for the soul. i actually ended up increasing my run so now i can run 10km (sorry not sure of mileage) and i am seriously considering training for a marathon??? will make that decision soon.
my diet for first month was great mostly raw during day and light cooked meal at night however last month i digressed a little but i was still happy. i ate more cooked food than i thought i would but it was ok. so i jumped on scales when i got home just for curiosity and i am down 5 pounds. not a bad effort and i gotta say im pretty proud of myself. i have now lost 65 pounds and the reaction i got from people at home was exactly what i was after. they couldnt believe it, my sister nearly passed out at the airport her jaw dropped.
most people asked me what i did to lose the weight, i told them about the juicing. i should have bought stocks in the australian juice machine manufacturer because about 10 people either bought a juicer or started some type of cleansing program. love changing the world in small doses.
another really lovely thing happened, i fell in love. again i should say. with my husband. we had a wonderful time together and it was with mixed emotions getting on the plane to come home. we missed our own house etc but didnt want to come back because that means him leaving again to go off to work. but we will deal with it.
now looking forward to the future which i know involves a bit more work on my behalf. not so much from a weight perspective, ive probably got about 10 pounds that could go but im not fussed. more i want to fix my liver/gallbladder adn just detox from 2 months of abuse to my body. so i am thinking about another fast in a week or so. will keep you posted.
