EFT and hayfever allergies

After riding my bike in the wind I usually get really red itchy eyes and maybe a runny nose. After one occasion riding, I came back in and began tapping with the words that even tho I get this allergic response - there is no need to do that anymore. I am totally safe and secure and there is no threat and no need for any puffyness or redness or itchy eyes and no need for my body to protect itself. There is no threat anymore. I tapped a few rounds.
Today was the perfect day to test whether it really worked. I walked with DS18 in the morning for an hour and it was windy and we walked in a rural area with lots of grass and weeds and several places people were cutting the grass so lots of stuff blowing around in the air. Then I went out on the bike in the wind for a bit. This should have been a real problem especially with my eyes, but no pain, not much red, no itchyness. I was going to tap again, just to be sure it stayed away but I forgot and never got around to it, and never needed to! Yay! Free allergy medicine. I'm really happy.
I just learned it a few days ago that the allergic response is because your body percieves some threat so it releases the histamine that then causes all sorts of havoc. There's some stressful event in my childhood that became associated with grass or pollen or growing things and that's where the hay fever began. The threat and stress is no longer there, so I have to inform my body of that change so it can quit trying to defend me.
