Dear Friends,
As we enter our fifth year as a spiritual community, we look forward to the opportunities to plan and grow together. And what better place to begin than to explore our ideas and beliefs around money. If you would like to join in the process of clearing out beliefs that no longer serve, and to embrace those that prosper you, individually and as a community, then October is the month for you!
The theme for October at Midtown is Financing Our Dreams.
Come and celebrate our natural abundance and the Infinite Good that Spirit desires for us on Sunday mornings at either the 9 AM or 10:30 AM services. Rev. Kevin Bucy begins the messages on 10/2 with What is the Energy of Money? On 10/9, Rev. Kevin continues with The Hero's Purpose; and on 10/16, our beloved UCRS Community Spiritual Leader, Rev. Dr. Kathy Hearn, speaks on Identifying the Inner Blocks to Progress. Continuing on 10/23 is our wonderful Angela Geary, RScP, speaking on Clearing the Path . And, to complete the month, Rev. Kevin talks on Staying the Course on 10/30.
The Sunday Service music supports your dreams as well. For the 10:30 AM services, SoulVoice lifts our souls on 10/2; Joe Rathburn returns on 10/9 and Karl Anthony on 10/16. October's music continues on 10/23 with the talented Kristi Rickert-Peterson and the fabulous Global Heart Choir completes the month on 10/30.
There are other activities in October you won't want to miss...
SoulVoice in Concert!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The concert you have been waiting for is finally here! This coming Sunday evening, October 2nd, at Midtown Church, the debut concert of the SoulVoice Quartet is taking place. You won't want to miss this evening of music and the beautiful harmonies of Val Cooper, Susie Hall, Claudia Previn-Stasny and Trish Marr.
And to make this evening even more extraordinary, the $25 ticket price includes a certificate for SoulVoice's eagerly anticipated first CD--to be released in February 2006. Your concert attendance supports the production of SoulVoice's first album, and includes a generous tithe to Hurricane Katrina Relief efforts.
$15 tickets are also available without the CD offer. The concert begins at 7:00 PM in the Midtown Church sanctuary; tickets are available at the door.
Midtown Supports 2005 Aids Walk!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There are two ways you can support Midtown's participation in the October 2nd San Diego Aids Walk. It's not too late to register and join the ACTUAL WALK/RUN team. You'll need to pledge $25.00 (which includes your t-shirt) at the Aids website. Go to http://www.aidswalksd.org. When the site comes up click on "click here". On the top half is the word "Register". Click here and follow the directions.
You can also sign up for a MONETARY DONATION ONLY. Go to the same site and click on "click here". At the menu on the left, click on "view walk teams". Scroll down to "Midtown" and click on it. You can then either click on "General Team Donation", or on "Cindy Sinclair" and then follow the steps to make a donation.
Let's support our Midtown team, and the on-going efforts around Aids research.
