The PISCES FULL MOON is September 17 at 7:01 PM PDT and September 18 at 2:01 AM GMT. Full moons are about integrating energies that may appear as opposites, but which are in fact complements.
Without Virgo earth energy, practical action and grounding, Pisces energy expresses as spaciness, escapism, illusions and fantasies. Without the Divine connection accessed by Pisces, Virgo obsesses, indulges in neurotic thoughts and creates frustration by attempting to control outcomes. This Full Moon gives us an opportunity to achieve a higher expression of these two archetypes. The following exercises will help you experience the Earth/Divine synthesis.
Below I outline the awareness directions I shared in my Wednesday KY class. The intention was to bring us into alignment with the Pisces/Virgo Full Moon energies. The set we did is the one to Strengthen the Nerves on page 46 of Relax and Renew. However, you can use any set that works with the legs, navel and lower chakras. We ended with the RA MA DA SA SA SAY SO HUNG healing meditation. This mantra links earth and ether energies.
If you are feeling the intensity of this Full Moon and want to better understand the energies at play see the back issue #94 NMB. All back issues can be downloaded from http://www.yogatech.com

INFINITY INSIDE MY SKIN
The following are ideas on how to direct your awareness after the exercises. Go sequentially so that you build up to a synthesis by the end and deep relaxation.
1. Tune in. Then sit quietly and look inside your head. Look into and listen to the space inside your head. Your connection with your inner space will expand between each of the exercises.
2. Do spinal flexes or another exercise. Then sit quietly and feel the sensations in your spine and body. Between exercises, cultivate a strong awareness of your body by being present to all the feelings and sensations.
3. After each exercise in the set of your choice, go back to your inner space and feel the sensations in your body.
4. Keep bringing your awareness to both your inner space and your physical sensations until you begin to feel the vast space contained in your physical awareness.
5. Feel the space inside your skin. The space will become bigger than your physical body, but still contained within it.
6. Be aware that body and space are the same place, exactly where you are at.
7. Merge the physical and non-physical realities.
8. Note as you become more aware of both the physical and spatial realities, that you start feeling more alive and that your inner space expands. There is more available space and both feeling and space become more substantive.
9. Hold physical and non-physical realities as one.
10. Let your body hold the space, and feel the space nurture your body.
11. Enjoy how it feels to synchronize your body with the divine.
Meditate for at least 5-10 minutes. And then relax. It is important to cultivate your awareness after the set. You want to be present so that you can enjoy your experience. By simply being silent and still, your connection will get deeper and be anchored into many levels of your being.
RA MA DA SA SA SAY SO HUNG healing meditation is a good one for this Full Moon. This mantra links earth and ether energies. There is a great version on the CD Circle of Light by Gurudass. (available on http://www.yogatech.com . This mantra and meditation is also explained in one of the free on-line KY lessons available on http://www.kundaliniyoga.org . The simplest way to chant this mantra is in an ascending scale up the chakras. SA is repeated twice at the heart. Hung is released out the top of the head.
The Full Moon is supporting your Earth/Divine alignment. Feel it and enjoy it.
