He lives on the Big Island in a home that is not his, but is given to him for a time. Wayne feels that Ram Dass deserves care since he has so generously cared for others during his lifetime.
This comes to mind at the moment because I just got an e-mail from wisdom of the world, a site that has many beautiful messages...there was a Ram Dass clip set to "Graceful Passages". I have included the site link. Listen to each one if you have time (about a minute each)...I don't cry often, but this so touched me that I cried for the loss of my mother's love and in the joy of her "no longer" suffering. I cried for joy at the impermanence of flesh and the permanence of spirit, I cried just because I can and reveled in my ability to cry. I lived and then "off to work".
At this link many famous humanitarians have clips on there latest work on death/transitions. Beginnings vs. Endings. I was very touched to see Elizabeth Kubler Ross on the list along with Ram Dass, Jones, Ghandi, Hanh.
If ever we forget the beauty and the poignancy of our human existence the music poetry and lives of these pioneers is a wonderful full reminder...I have a soft spot for those Irish Men! (Ledwith, Jones!)
