Fast starts tomorrow.
Getting ready for the fast is pretty uneventful.
Date: 2/27/2005 9:48:37 PM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 1533 times I went grocery shopping tonight. I needed to have meals that my family can prepare quickly and easily with very little help from me. I have found that food preparation during the first four days is torture for me. I have to be able to avoid it if I can, but my family needs to eat.
I bought 12 24-ounce "sport cap" spring waters. I find that the sport cap bottles are easy for me to use because I can squeeze a lot of water into my mouth, forcing me to drink more water. During my last fast I became dehydrated because I wasn't drinking enough water. I will have to be very conscious of this.
I plan to avoid leaving the house for most of this week. This is easier for me than for most people, as I am currently not working. I find that if I leave the house I want to go to the mall or "out to eat".
I have a cola habit that I am working on breaking, so I am bracing myself for caffeine withdrawl symptoms.
My household knows that I am water fasting for the month of March, but know one else knows. I find that it's just better to not tell anyone else. People are very judgemental when it comes to fasting. I don't want to have to explain why I am doing this.
I will post my weight and my measurements tomorrow. The numbers will probably scare me, but this must be done. I will post my stats on Monday mornings just for consistency's sake.
