Is it 40 Days today?
Kefir, Fasting, Exercise
Date: 12/21/2022 12:28:25 PM ( 23 mon ) ... viewed 235 times Summer Solstice & I think I just made 40 days :) what a great feeling - I'm going great now, the last few days it has finally warmed up and with the warmer temperatures I have been inspired and able to push my fast quite a bit, now I'm stopping all caloric intake from 10:30PM each night and not breaking my intermittent part of the fast until after 11AM - today I didn't break it until 4PM so 11AM is a minimum and if I feel like pushing past that I will just go for a longer stretch - I want to deepen my fast and add more exercise as well now, today I got back to a session of full yoga and some tai chi then went for a really energized brisk walk up lots of hills round the giant park - maybe a 45 min fast hilly walk - I got a good sweat up doing the yoga and felt good - might be sore for a few days again but maybe I won't be as sort as the first session I did a couple weeks ago - I feel very good in the body, my foots improving, my colds gone, my tennis elbow still touchy but better and have been able to play at least my nylon string guitar again - my house looking like a temple, so peaceful and clean and lovely, turning the mind to better thoughts, my energy is great and there's no pain in my body all those aches and pains I had before this have vanished. I have kept off the painkillers and been sober and healthy - my brain is working heaps better and my mind is also just very clear from the fast - I feel calm, relaxed, more contented - its fantastic.
Well, I'm going to keep going right into and through Jan - I still have weight to lose - should go a lot faster now the warm weather is helping me go for it.
The last couple days I haven't consumed much at all: today was ie. one black coffee around 11am, some water and mineral water and that was it till 4pm, then I had a sweet milky coffee and a soda water with a tsp-tbsp of condensed milk and a bit of evap milk (discovering a less sweet more watery sort of italian soda I like to have sometimes), did my yoga, after that I had a couple cups of honeydew melon juice with some added kefir whey which was great to add to it, went for a massive brisk walk and came back and had another sweet coffee - using the malt syrup this time with all the B vitamins and minerals - a kefir blended with 3 blackberries and 2 soaked dates - a couple squares of chocolate and that was it today, back to the intermittent part with more fenugreek tea and mineral water till whatever time tomorrow - yesterday was similar but I had a cup of tomato soup with a tsp-tbps of yeast flakes - so these last three days I've really cut the calories as well as added this big window and lots of exercise :)
going great - so good to have the conditions to be able to get stuck into this! I'm loving that!
