In 2010
My son
Date: 4/16/2015 1:54:21 AM ( 8 y ) ... viewed 942 times It was around 2010, when a doctor told me I had celiac disease. He handed me some stapled papers and said avoid these foods. He didn't go into any detail, so I figured, "yeah, okay". I didn't change my diet.
During 2010, I was running about 4 miles 4x/week. I could not get rid of my belly bulge. No matter how many sit ups I did (300!) it wouldn't go away. Many times I had to run from the treadmill downstairs to the toilet. Let's just say thank goodness I was usually in there alone. My gut was like a combustible bomb. I would then drive home in shivering cold sweats. What was making me so ill? Celiac, really?!!
In 2011, we got pregnant again. Ironically, both of our children had due dates of Nov.7. My pregnancy this time was hard, to say the very least. I was eating only gluten free. And yet, I was running (literally) to the toilet 6-8x/day. It was horrific, but worth it for my baby. I was also on 42 weeks of antibiotics for recurrent UTIs, Group B Strep and Klebsiella. I prayed every single night with my mom, to have "a strong, healthy, happy, smart baby."
My darling baby boy weighed in at 7 lbs 3 oz. He was perfect. Oh here go the tears again. My children mean more than my very own life. My sweet baby, F, was induced on Nov.1st, All Souls Day. He was born around 9:40pm. I can remember just holding him in my arms that first time. Oh my sweet baby boy! (He is also in danger from me, catching this f-ing infectious disseminated parasitic disease). Oh Jesus, please protect my babies and give them miracles. Please God, hear this mother's cries. My bleeding heart, it breaks....
