Day 1 Fasting
Getting back to taking care of my health and feeling better
Date: 3/30/2015 3:40:26 AM ( 9 y ) ... viewed 627 times I've done the Master Cleanse with the longest 27 days. I've done several water fasts with the longest being 5 days.
I don't have any hard rules with the fast. I know there are many purists out there who want to follow a particular method but this is a modified fast tailored for myself. I want to primarily do a liquid fast (mostly water). But I would like to include lemon juice, diatomaceous earth, and liquid minerals depending on what my body is feeling. I'm also okay with taking sparkling water. My focus is to give my body a break from digestion and divert all my energy to healing. I also just want to reset things and clear out bad habits (mostly sugar and gluten). So here we go.
One more thing to add. I pray that God helps me throughout this journey. I lean on Him for my strength to complete this because without Him this is meaningless. It's 1:43 am and I am getting my mind set and meditate before going to sleep. Good night all.
10pm
I thought I updated this post but somehow it all disappeared. I woke up and did a coffee enema, took my diatomaceous earth in water with Ionic minerals. I went out in my backyard and did my meditation/prayer. I had a close encounter with a humming bird and butterfly. Later in the afternoon I went out again and saw two doves fly above me and perch on a wire for a minute and then flew away. I love getting these signs because I feel they are divine messages of encouragement and support.
I felt great throughout the day. It was quite uneventful with regards to symptoms or urges. I couldn't believe how much cooking I did for my family the whole day and not much of a temptation for me. I also got busy with a little project of putting chalkboard paint on my bottles for labeling my kombucha/water kefir. All these distractions really helped get me through the day without mind wondering off to food. I did get tired pretty quickly by 10. I was yawning and yawning. I'm usually pretty energetic till 1am.
All in all it was a great day. I think success were results of my meditation (setting intention, being present, and reducing stress) as well as keeping my mind occupied, and buddying up for this fast. It feels good to feel the connection of other fasters.
