Getting ready for my water fast
Mental and physical prep before beginning my water fast

I deal with lots of food prep and cooking. I need to be physically, mentally, and emotionally there for my family. Water fasting can be tough and if I feel I am starting to get too weak or too crabby I have to consider stopping because my family is my priority.
I am at a healthy BMI range. As mentioned in my previous water fast blog, I'm 5'3" and have been athletic/active ever since I was little. My pre-baby weight was around 115-120s. With each pregnancy I pack on 60+ pounds but never could lose all of it. My last pregnancy weight went up to 190s just before the delivery. I dropped most of my weight with Master Cleanse and working out. I've been battling with arthritis since my 20s. Poor diet and stress I'm sure are the major causes. Between joint pain, tendinitis, migraines, chronic muscle aches, etc. Detoxing/healing has been a priority over the past 5-6 years. I also did liver cleanse and parasite cleanse with good success. My body has been through a lot and I believe water fasting is the quickest route to healing for me at this stage of my journey.
With this water fast I have a goal of 4-6 days but if I'm feeling good I'm willing to push beyond it. I usually focus on just getting to complete 3 days and then from there take it one day at a time listening to my body to see how far to go.
A few more things I wanna share.
4th Fast (May 5-9, 2014)
3rd Fast (April 20-26, 2014)
I started on a Paleo/Ketogenic diet after my 4th fast. It was the most successful transition to refeeding I have done after fasting. Usually I do well 1 to 2 days after the fast and I end up blowing my healthy eating by the 3rd day. I have been successful for these past 22 days . It is also my first attempt at trying the Paleo/Ketogenic Diet. I've wanted to try to go gluten/grain free and felt this was the best route. So far it has been working.
I currently am averaging 136-6 pounds 32.2% body fat as of last 5 days. I am planning on taking 1-2 days of prepping before I officially start. I want to boost my nutrient/vitamins/minerals intake and drop my carbs to 20-30g carbs a day. BUUUUT, if I miraculously feel reeeeeal good sooner then I'll start right away. I am excited to start tomorrow but I really should give myself time to prep. I have a clear plan but I am going with the flow. The next two weeks of my schedule look ideal for water fasting. If anyone is interested in buddying up send me a message.
