21 Days today, that's a stretch! Been having a better couple of days, don't know - just got a bit too busy for comfort from that Saturday on - it's easing up now & I was able to do a great morning practice this morning - now have to jet off to a short meeting then that's it - free for the next few days with nothing much hanging over me, maybe just a little trip to the city to pick up an old bed in a house I look after that the tenant doesn't need - can do in my own time though, back to some inward reflection to keep me in balance.
Drawn more towards my shrubs at the moment, had a juice this morning - not really craving them at all though, just think maybe I should have one and use up the organic apples I bought etc... maybe I'll let the juicer rest for a bit as there seems to be less & less desire in that direction at the moment.
Still craving the comfort of food - feeling a little more of the tiredness, dizziness - yet at the same time, if I get exercising I seem to be going beyond my limitations so ?? Think I'll just keep going and observe for a while yet. Feeling like I'm ready to start some gym sessions now, went on a long walk with bf the day before yesterday and that was lovely, tired at the end of it but all good - feeling like really retreating into my practice, yoga, some gym work, walking and reading - all this is calling me & I think the active bits keep my mind off cravings and the desire to break the fast.
I have been thinking of how to eat when I go back off of it - I make a kind of aryuvedic breakfast in the warmer months when it's easy to sprout mung beans - just sprout them and into a skillet with some onion and ghee and tumeric and a bit of cinnamon etc, big bowl of them with lemon juice squeezed over it for breakfast - spoonful of yoghurt if you like.. and maybe just a lunch kefir or salad and a soup for dinner... going to look at some calorie counting and work myself out a little cookbook and option meals for when I do go back as I really am at the point now where I have to make a permanent change and become really mindful of eating in a more yogic way and really leaving behind things I don't need or just limiting them to one day a week or one meal out sort of thing - make myself a pattern that is the 90% - perhaps including intermittent fast days of 7-800 calories - at least for some months to come.. I've wanted to try that style of living out for some time now but haven't organized myself yet - it's time to try it this summer and see how I go - might discover I love it and adapt well which would be wonderful.
Well got to go to this meeting
