Hi, Leslie Goldman here. My dad has some special things in his apartment in LA...some antiques. I would like to see some of them go to a good Jewish Home. I also need funds to continue working full-time on Yes on 37. Please help with making sure the Jewish community votes Yes. People from all over can help via phone calls to CA friends.
Reverend Solomon Goldman, 94 years young, one of the most beloved Rabbis and servants of the Jewish People, has come out in favor of Prop 37.
For more than 40 years, Reverend Goldman has represented kindness and compassion to all people of the world. There is a story in the Jewish Tradition about 36 Hidden Ones who hold up the world. Some of them are tailors, sewing together the fabric of humanity, keeping the threads held together. For many years, Rabbi Goldman was also a pressor of garments in the Los Angeles clothing district. He would come home with bleeding fingers from the harsh chemicals. He knows the taste of organic food. He also loves his fresh Jewish pastry every Sunday morning, that many do not know likely has hidden ingredients that go unlabeled called GMOs.
Prop 37 is a simple Proposition on the California ballot. it simple asks that people have choice--the Right to Know. It calls for a label to go on many of the products sold in our supermarkets. Just let us know, that is all we ask. We will decide for ourselves if we want to eat food with GMOs or without GMOs. This is a consumer rights issue, regardless of the all the more than 37 Million dollar ads from the No side who want to confuse and complicate our decision to do the right thing for our future--Vote Yes on 37.
GMO--Genetic Modified Organism-Genetic Engineering Technology is a new invention from the mind of science gone astray. For more than 20 years, this technology has altered many of our food staples, including beet sugar, corn, and soy. You can hardly eat corn now or something sweet without getting GMO's.
The latest science--that is not paid for by the opposition--clearly indicates that GMO's may be dangerous. Their has been an epidemic of cancers, leaky gut syndrome, and allergies for decades. For anyone who wants to study the facts, please watch the trailer to the new video Genetic Roulette, or listen to testimony given at the outstanding Seeds of Doubt Los Angeles Conference October 6.
GMO Foods--They mix species-- taking qualities that God never had in mind and combining them with other species. This is against Jewish Law. On November 6, Jewish people in California, and many Jewish people from our nation and the world, will have it in their power to begin to set the record straight. There are not only people walking the streets now to help win their proposition, but Jews everywhere are giving money to the California Right to Know to get some of our commercials on the airwaves. Others are manning phone banks that the campaign is organizing. You can make calls from any state and help out.
Everyone needs to go to the polls and vote YES on 37 on Tuesday November 6, even people who may never voted before.
There are many Orthodox men in the Jewish community now, who are deciding to vote for Mitt Romney. They are doing this because President Obama has not shown a good record toward Israel. Other Jewish People are coming out in favor of President Obama because they still believe that if he gets a second term, he will follow through on many of promises he made before the 2008 election. One of these promises includes Labeling Genetically Engineered--GMO Foods.
One thing is clear. YES on 37 is important for all People, and Rabbi Solomon Goldman, who has given more Prayers to the departed at Los Angeles Cemeteries than likely any other Jewish man alive today, cares about our children and their future.
He is one of the 7.5 Million + 2 Simple Majority that is needed to Vote Yes on 37. He is one of the signers of the 7.5 Million + 2 Grow A Healthier Pizza Petition on Change.org. That Campaign is basically counting heads, wanting to make sure everyone is committed to vote Yes. Many have signed the petition off line, more than online.
"I am honored to know this man who cares so much for all people, regardless of race, color, or creed. He taught me to work tirelessly for what is good in the world. He is my father, Rabbi Solomon Goldman."--Leslie Goldman, Your Enchanted Gardener, the son of Rabbi Solomon Goldman.
