We knew pasteurization was not an effective means of eliminating the problems of inferior "milk". That pasteurization was at best only a band-aid attempt to cover the "milk problem". I expect that this new research is revealing just the tip of the pasteurization "iceberg".
Writer Eric Hunter concludes with: "Raw milk from healthy animals contains a wide variety of microorganisms and has a natural defense against certain 'bad' bacteria."
In other words - Mother nature provides a natural immune system in grass-fed dairy that deserves to be kept whole and intact. Don't mess with it - in the name of "food safety" or for any other reason!
