This morning I go into our Enchanted Garden at home,
right here in our backyard.
I will gather the petals of aloe vera and place them in the
purest water I will find. I will at my favorite cactus flower
that blooms one or two days a year and is beginning to
show its stalk now in preparation for our first community
building gathering 3-7 pm, May 8. Let's come together
on that day and recognize that Mother's Day, May 8, is
a time to acknowledge our Mother Earth. She so asks us
to find ways to collaborate with her and rediscover her
most simple and perfect technology.
How amazing that the aloe calling me this morning
first put up its stalk during the moment of March 11 when
500 organic stakeholders were gathering to find a voice of
cooperation at the Natural Product Expo West.
How amazing that on that same day, 5000 miles away,
a tsunami rocked the consciousness of the entire world
that can hear. The message is that we are being asked to turn
away from technology that is in place that keeps us distant
face to face, that brings us messages of a world
that no longer serves us.
Life is labor intensive. It asks that we witness the prosperity
that comes from being part of a hive in the context of
Mother Earth's Enchanted Garden.
The Enchanted Garden Welcomes you!
The Enchanted Garden Intention now is to calling
of you to keep the beat with nature once again
through the simple act of growing a little bit of your
own food and supporting those who are growing the
rest of that holy substance intended to keep your
soul, mind, and body together.
I welcome you to come and teach me what you know
about love. I welcome you to come and allow me the privilege
of hearing your song of life as I share my own.
The earth is calling us home.
Can you hear the mandate to grow some of our own food?
May the land here, preserved so long,
waiting so long, be a place for you to share your
love.

We are having two important gatherings.

to form community for the summer. It is called Fixing the Hole in the Porch Gathering. This Enchanted Garden is located four blocks from SDSU. We can be an Earth Based Finishing School for SDSU, and a place where you who

SUMMER ARRIVES EARLY IN THE ENCHANTED GARDEN!
There are many issues on the home front,
including more expenses now per month that
income.
Things eased up with the moving in of two
outstanding new hosuemates.
There are foundational issues
to be resolved.
This is a very old house, more than 75 years old.
It needs a community of support, many hands
to take care of the place, including plants.
We have trees that want to go in the ground.
This is a place to develop your connection with nature.
ONCE A YEAR I ATTEND A REMARKABLE
EVENT CALLED THE PASSOVER VILLAGE
Once a year, I do a Passover retreat that
in recent years has co-insided with ending on Easter.
We do a Council Process, a passing of
a Talking Slick.
There is a need to honor the privacy of this gathering,
and so I want to respect the group process
as far as putting up footage.
Last year, there some footage of one of the leaders
Marc explaining the process that I have on video.
I would like to see this explanation and more
put out.
RELATIONSHIP ISSUES
Our world needs more and more collaborative
experiences to learn to outgrow war.

THESE ARE OUR AIMS
1-To support mobilization of one Farmers’ Market in our local area, the Hillcrest Farmers’ Market in San Diego. To continue to work with local organic farmers and help them sell more of their produce.
2-To continue to develop a 1/3 acre parcel of land near San Diego State College named the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Growing Grounds where those who live here and who live around the world may study our process of learning how to keep the beat with nature through learning to live together cooperatively as a household that seeks to live in harmony with the earth. The motto of the house will be Keep The Beet. Through growing a simple beet in a pot, we can regain our beat with nature. Not all in the house garden. Some like to prepare food. Others help with other jobs, or rent. The land, as of January 2010 is being refinanced. A Trust to hold the land is being explored. The Seed Dream would be to leave a museum and park for future generations to learn from this experiment in cooperative living that has been going on since the early 1970′s. The intent is that what we learn here can help others, and Washington, understand and adapt to some of the shifts being asked of all of us now.
3- To develop relationships with those who influence Washington and government. A vast coalition across all political, religious, and philosophical lines has now formed. Mainstream media needs to be reached through bloggers filling the gap where journalism once told all points of view. Elected leaders need to be encouraged to follow the principles expressed in the song “America The Beautiful.”
4- We see the world as we know it now coming to an end. A Shift has already happened. It is for each of us to adapt to the earth and relearn the laws of nature, rather than attempt to further adapt nature to our ways. The source of our economic and health crisis is that we have lost our beat with nature. We can regain the beet through becoming once again a nation of gardeners who live in a world of gardeners. One Pot+One person=You are a Gardener. Start to grow your own food now.
