WATER FROM THE SKY
Leslie at the Venice Eco Fest 2010.
It was cloudy most of the day.
I was obsessed with the idea of
wanting people to go to the sea waves
and give blessing for the healing of the oceans.
I had brought a flash of
rain water with me to cleanse the ocean.
In racing out of the house earth Saturday morning,
I screwed the top on in a way that
made it impossible to open the flask.
This was the intent of my mission,
the long drive.
I wanted to be present for the opening ceremony.
I got up to Venice beyond human limits.
The EG Mobile simply cannot make it up there
in the short amount of time that it
physically takes to arrive.
I left San Diego Sometime after 7 am
I was pulling off the freeway in Venice
at 9:07 am. It generally can take me 3 hours
just to get to Orange County during the
rush hour, about 2/3's of the way to Venice.
So that flask could not be opened.
Mother Earth and Keep The Beet wanted
me to do a ritual at the ocean.
I found some companions who were willing
to go to the sea with me.
I went on stage to remind J. Brave of the Luminaries
to tell everyone to prayer for the Oceans.
As I touched his arm, Amore One, five feet
away said basically what I wanted to say.
J. Brave and I both noted that.
The Luminaries are of one mind.
It began to drops rain drops a few minutes
after that.
Keep The Beet had been invited by
J. Brave to be on stage. She was in her Altar spot.
They a group of dancers, made up as
Vampires came on. Their message was
don't pollute the oceans with Plastic.
Mother Earth and Keep The Beet
wanted to make their poinr.
Keep The Beet, all plants held in holy
ways, are vessels for the Mother to
ground her message.
It began to pour.
It rained unexpectedly for ten minutes or more
as reported by the weather department.
I was ecstatic.
Then, I invited Amore One, who gave
the message to Care for Mother Earth
to plant his deepest dream.
It was raining.
Later I asked some to come to the sea with me.
Everyone was too busy,
too pre-occupied.
Susan and Allision had been
giving Reiki like treatments all day.
Susan had given a little class to the children
about seed planting.
They had some Dhalia flowers that were very
beautiful. They had been grown with the
special treatment of energy.
I said, "susan, let's give a lovely flower to the
Ocean."
At first, she was hesitant.
She thought to keep the flower,
but came to her senses.
We brought the lovely flower that was blessed
and gave it to the ocean.

I just heard the cap is now working
It is good to remember that
the leak began the day before Earth Day,
April 23, 2010. Have I got the date right?
During the last year alone,
I have watched water fall from the sky
Every time I take time to honor the beet.
This happened both at Earth Day as well
Most recently, at the Venice Eco Fest, july 10, 2010.
Keep The Beet was on stage at the time.
She was Implicated in causing a need
to pull the plug on electronics. Through
the rain that fell, we were reminded
that Mother Earth is always present.
She teaches

OUTTAKE
I came up with the idea of growing a beet in a pot
out of crisis. I watched local organic farmers
needing more sales at the Farmers’ Market. A moment of awakening was needed. As an Enchanted Gardener, I speak to plants regularly, It is no big deal for plants to speak to me. One day, a beet in the ground
talked to me. She said she was lonely.
She said her heart was broken. She was here to root Seed Dreams,
to be a way shower, a true Evolutionary Leader. Every body
was going too fast to hear her simple message. They had left the field.
I gathered her up, and as instructed, ate her greens, kept the beet, planted her
in a pot and became her chauffeur, giving her an honored place in my life here at the an Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Growing Grounds near in San Diego,
a 1/3 acre plot near SDSU.
She teaches me that there is only one beet, and many pulses, and that there is one beat of nature. Thus Keep The Beet Media Star, The World’s First Talking Beet Plant was born. A figment of imagination, she is destined to touch the White House organic Garden, be our nation’s Czarina of Foods, the future head of the FDA, and teach us that even Beets have big dreams and egos, and can speak high intelligence.
Your very survival and thrival may depend on it
Keep the Beet is here to remind us: we can grow a bit of our own food. After you master growing and caring for your beet, and through her, remember
how to nurture your own vegetative side that has
existed before time began, go on to growing other food in portable containers, and then in the ground.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR GROWING A BEET IN A POT

Excerpt
Enjoy the thrlll of your Seed Dreams sprouting in
one of the Bagasse Sugar Cane pots. transfer your excitement
that you helped some seeds grow to a larger beet root. Get a larger
beet root preferably from the a local, organic farmer at the Farmers'
Market. Transfer some of the tiny beet seedlings as best you can
to the larger pot as well. Do your best not to disturb the root system.
The main goal is to transfer the energy of the seed dream to the larger
root. Some of the seedlings may not make it. This is too be expected.
You are succeeded.
Take the beet greens off the larger beet root. Eat these steamed
or some raw. Repot this beet root. It will send up more and more shoots.
You can harvest some of these from time to time. Have more than one
pot if you want to keep eating the beet greens. This project is called
Keep The Beet.
Develop a communication with your Beet Root.
Expect dreams. Put on your magical thinking cap
and allow it to speak to you.
