Juice Recipes Required - 143.5lbs (27.5lbs to go)
Embarking on a juice fast, I need your 5-star recipes!
Date: 10/14/2008 7:24:21 AM ( 15 y ) ... viewed 2041 times I weighed myself the other day and my current weight is 10st 3.5lbs (143.5lbs) - so I need to lose 27.5lbs to reach my goal weight.
I am looking to start my juice fast this Thursday (16th October). It will only be a 1-day fast to ease myself into a longer fast. Also because I can't really do a long one with a big function coming up on Sunday 19th October. It is best to start when you know you will not be tempted to break it.
Mine will be a juice fast, with potential to add in green tea or hot water and lemon tea (with honey if I get desperate). I remember last time I fasted I had Rooibos Tea as well as the juice. And I recall how absolutely wonderful the honey tasted in the tea - it was mindblowing! It's amazing how doing a fast such as this opens your senses and you really get to appreciate the little things and take your time eating and in enjoying the experience of food.
Anyway, I was after your help in terms of juice recipes. I would like to know what kind of mixes you have had that you would recommend? Last time I really enjoyed oranges with grapefruit, pineapple with lime, and also grapes - so sickly sweet but great!
I would love to hear from fellow fasters on what kind of recipes they have used as by changing the ingredients it will keep it interesting and the different ingredients will assist in different ailments. So please let me know what you would recommend, I shall be very grateful.
As I said, I am aiming to start my juice fast this Thursday (two days time) and I will let you know how I get on. If there is anyone who would like to do it with me, feel free to give me a shout! We can cheer each other on.
