This is a good over view of a program that could improve your health and quailty of life...
This is from a newsletter:
Dear Health Conscious Friend,
I have been running since 1968, nearly forty years. I typically run six miles three times a week, although I have run four to five times that distance when training for long distance events. Until recently, I thought it was the best way to protect my heart and stay lean. But after trying Dr. Sears' new PACE® program, I was amazed!
Although I've received significant benefits from my previous regimen, I'm convinced it is not the ideal way to exercise. Most people really need a more balanced approach that includes anaerobic exercise and weight training.
The problem with long-duration exercise is that it can actually encourage your body to store fat under certain circumstances. Additionally, if you aren't careful and use other methods of training, you can actually shrink your heart and lungs, increasing your risk of heart attack!
Here's how Dr. Sears explained it to me:
Long-duration exercise isn't natural. Our ancient ancestors never ran for mile after mile without rest or recovery. Their exercise was primarily hunting -- short bursts of exertion, followed by periods of rest.
By exercising in short bursts, followed by periods of recovery, you recreate exactly what your body needs for optimum health.
The unique feature of PACE® -- progressively changing your routine over time -- ensures maximum fat loss with a "bulletproof" heart and "super-sized" lungpower.
The benefits are profound. By boosting your heart's "reserve capacity," Dr. Sears reveals that you can nearly eliminate your risk of heart attack. One of Dr. Sears' insights into the human heart is the fact that it doesn't need "endurance training." Your heart was designed to keep beating far into old age.
Heart attacks don't happen because your heart lacks endurance. They happen during times of stress, when your heart needs more energy and pumping capacity, but doesn't have it.
By building reserve capacity -- which the PACE® program does quickly and easily -- you create a "reserve account" your heart can draw upon during times of emergency.
PACE® is one of the best fat burners I've ever seen.
According to Dr. Sears, the big mistake with aerobics and jogging is when you burn fat. Once you pass the 15 to 20 minute mark, you start burning fat during exercise.
But this tells your body you need fat to burn as fuel during exercise. As a result, your body will make and store more fat to prepare for your next run or aerobic workout -- a never-ending cycle making it impossible to get rid of that stubborn fat that never seems to go away.
PACE® routines are never more than 10 to 20 minutes.
That means your body burns carbs during exercise, not fat. After you finish the routine, your body starts burning fat to replace the carbs it just burned.
In fact, your body will burn fat for up to 24 hours after your PACE® routine. You can actually burn fat while you sleep! After a few weeks, your body gets the message that it doesn't need to store spare fat at all.
The extra lungpower PACE® gives you is more important than you may realize. Dr. Sears mentioned that lung volume is your number one indicator for risk of death. The bigger your lung volume, the longer you'll live. It's critical for preventing disease and boosting your immune system. Not to mention that big lungs transport fresh oxygen to every cell in your body.
I seldom get excited about new exercise ideas, but PACE® is the exception. It turns conventional wisdom on its head and starts delivering results in a matter of days. Dr. Sears has a remarkable track record -- and produces results for thousands of people from around the world.
Plus, PACE® is easy to understand and do.
Dr. Sears put everything you need to get started in his new science-backed book, PACE: Rediscover Your Native Fitness. And the best news? This book is so affordable, it makes no sense not to have it -- and use it to optimize your health. PACE® -- make it a part of your daily routine today!
