Day 9, 10, 11 of Journal, Eating.
Broke fast without any complications.

This morning my wife and went to work out. We did 30 minutes in the dry sauna and
45 minutes of cardio and ended with 20 minutes in the steam sauna. We went to the
grocery store because I promised the kids I would make them a nice dinner. I have
two kids that love steak and have not eaten it for 6 weeks. I decided I would make them a t-bone steak dinner with mashed potatoes, broccoli, salad. As I was preparing the dinner I decided I would sit down and join them since it had been awhile since we had a family sit down meal. The kids were excited we would be eating together. I was a bit nervous to see how my body would react after 8 day juice fast. I kept my portions small and felt full really quickly. Later in the evening, my wife and worked out. Since I ate protein, I decided to lift weights along with cardio and sauna.
I did not feel bad or guilty about eating. It was a conscious decision and I felt it would be wise to begin eating again in order to stablize my weight in the 203-208 range for a few days before I renew my juice fast.
I am now clearly aware I lose a great deal of weight very quickly while juice fasting. I also want to lose the weight in stages so it gives times for skin to contract slowly so I don't end up with skin folds I cannot get rid of because of rapid weight loss.

I gained back four pounds since yesterday, but this was to be expected. I was not dissapointed because it is part of the process. The first 9 day juice fast, I lost 12 lbs. Once I began eating, I gained 4-5 pounds, but continued to eat clean and exercise. Once I began the juice fast again, I lost 14 lbs. in 8 days. So I expect to gain back 4-6 lbs. once I begin eating. As long as I don't exceed 7 lbs, I will continue to eat and exercise until my weight settles around 204-205 lbs after 5-6 days. Once I begin my third juice fast, I should drop another 10-14 lbs in 7-10 days and I plan to do the same thing; eat clean and exercise.
My wife and I worked out tonight. We did 30 minutes of dry sauna, 30 of weights and 20 minutes of cardio.

I am up 6 pounds since my low on Monday, but that o.k. Today I ate some beans, rice, plantains and some lean beef. The beef was less than three ozs. In the evening I ate a spinach salad and drank some kombucha tea. The tea was my first attempt at home brewing and it turned out really well. It tasted much better than the tea you buy at the health food stores.
My wife and I decided to take a break today from the gym. Will go tomorrow in the morning.
