Day 3 - Well barely 10 y
I wish I would have just fallen asleep straight through the night. But everything happens for a reason.
4pm
It’s Friday and a busy busy day for me. So I made it through Day 2. I was hoping to cap the day with an epsom salt bath to help me feel better but decided to just sleep it out. So I went to bed at about 10:30 but woke up just before 2am. I was wondering what the heck it felt like I slept much longer than that. I did the usual bathroom trip and drank water. My mind was just going on and on. I was just literally annoyed that I couldn’t fall asleep. I was surprised to actually have physical hunger. I was definitely in ketosis. I was on the Paleo/LoCarb/HiFat diet before I started ... read more
Day 2 10 y
Ohhh Myyy
136.2lbs 31.4% body fat.
So yesterday went pretty smoothly for day 1. I felt very tired by 9:30pm which is not typical at all. I woke up at 2am thinking I had slept way longer than that. Got up to use the bathroom and have more water. My mind was busy even though my body felt tired and achy. My neck, shoulder, center of my chest, inner knees, back and calves felt sore. I basically felt like I had a big serious workout at the gym. My mind was just so awake. It was a bit of a challenge to fall asleep again but the physical fatigue helped. I woke up at 5am to go to the bathroom an ... read more

I usually feel more ready but I am unsure this time

That gives me 4-6 days water fasting and some time as well for refeeding. Last night at dinner we got invited to go to this ranch this Fri-Saturday. My husband is really keen on the idea and wants to take our family there. I want to be supportive of his decision so we are evidently going. This wasn’t how I had planned the water fast to unfold but that’s life. I’m not sure if that was a sign that I should ... read more
Getting ready for my water fast 10 y
Mental and physical prep before beginning my water fast
Ideally I would love to do 14+ days of water fasting. However, it just isn’t realistic with my situation. I am a mother of 4 kids. I deal with lots of food prep and cooking. I need to be physically, mentally, and emotionally there for my family. Water fasting can be tough and if I feel I am starting to get too weak or too crabby I have to consider stopping because my family is my priority.
I am at a healthy BMI range. As mentioned in my previous water fast blog, I’m 5’3” and have been athletic/active ever since I was little. My pre-baby weight was around 115-120s. With each preg ... read more
