Yep! that's about it, certainly I agree that doing something is helpful if you feel like you want to do something- in the beginning and the end- dis-ease is an emotional and spiritual crisis- and being will cure it, or the organism needs to recycle and give it another try- As we all have time and time and time again!
The secret of medicine is to distract the patient while nature cures itself (Voltaire)

Karma Yoga 19 y
Selflessness-ummmm?
Freedom in Action
Karma Yoga is action in service. It is selfless action with no thought of reward. The philosophy of Karma Yoga is traditionally stated in the Bhagavad Gita, where Arjuna was instructed by Krishna that it was his duty to fulfill his destiny without consideration for his own misgivings and feelings to the contrary. He was to perform his obligations selflessly, without attachment to their outcome. Instead of making superficial external changes, the path of Karma Yoga involves changing our internal attitudes and emotions -- transforming our actions as we refine our motivatio ... read more
Sadhana 2 19 y
Start the day with a clean slate! And a cleanheart, all the BS of all the persons can not touch the true you...They are only you being silly and misguided.
During what are called the “ambrosial hours” (the two and a half hours just before sunrise), when the sun is at a sixty-degree angle to the earth, the energy you put into your sadhana gets maximum results. Your world is quieter. It’s easier to meditate and concentrate before the hustle and bustle of the day begins. You can be sure when you’re doing sadhana in the ambrosial hours that you’re in the right place at the right time doing the right thing. What a great feeling of self-esteem and self-assurance, to start each day with confidence!
You can do sadhana at home or ideally with a gro ... read more
Sadhana 19 y
If everyone undertook the challenge of this practice every morning there would be no war, only Unity, no agression, only peace, and use of others to gain something of no value for oneself- Poof!
If the mind vibrates with the mantra you chant, the effect will be tremendous, accurate, beautiful. When you say ”Ek”, the whole universe should look to you as Ek. When you say ”Ong”, the spring season and the seed sprout unflod in the universe. When you say ”Kar”, the moon, sun, stars, any beautiful thing ever lived by you in your mental thoughts should become a spotlight for you. When you say ”Sat” you should feel illuminated. ”Nam” should give you existence in your humility. ”Siri”, the miracle of this creation, should be acknowledged by you. And after that you should fall into the ecst ... read more

Recipe for Sadhana after treat-with Yogi tea
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)
1 cup Honey
4 cups water
Above is a recipe that’s basic and flexible. Depending on how ”old”
the flour is you may have to add more or less. Fresh flour has more
air in it so you’ll use less. Add the flour by the spoonful to the
heated ghee. Stir constantly until it darkens and smells toasty (not
burned!).
Meanwhile boil the honey and water together scooping off any foam.
When the flour/ghee mixture is ready add the boiling honey/water in
one continuous pour. Be careful, the mix is explosive. This will puff
up nicely and ... read more

THE HEALING HARMONICS OF SOUND VIBRATIONS
At the heart of many spiritual traditions there are the teachings of the
ability to use sound, voice and music to create changes in oneself or in
others. We must remember that a tradition is not a religion. It is a
tool by which we can unfold the creative potential that lies within.
Sacred Sound---whether as prayer, music, song, incantation or chants is
a vital force which ... read more
Trust 19 y
How to remain trusting in the face of headiness
Carrying the inner peace of your higher self is what your trying to obtain. This comes about with total trust. How much you believe and trust come from your own
ability to be neutral and at peace when heady situations come. Why me? Who knows? It is like living on two different dimensions, and the more you teach your body and your emotional body that experiencing states of higher self are ok the more you can integrate it into daily life.
Small measures count, no matter what, you are much bigger than you think.

Tumeric-The Healer 19 y
Tumeric is a healer Look at this !
Turmeric has been recognized by yogis and ayurvedic healers since ancient times for its many healing properties. Grown mainly in India, the turmeric root is a close cousin to ginger root. It is dried and ground into a fine powder, brilliant gold in color, and used in many Indian recipes (this is what makes curry yellow). Commercially, turmeric is used for its color and as a thickener (yellow prepared mustard, canned soups, many processed foods contain turmeric!). Little do those food manufacturers know of this amazing root’s qualities!

The Effects of the Various Pauris of Japji Sahib
”Once a man came to me and he asked, ’I want to be the wisest man of the
world.’ I said, ’Read Japji, and you will.’ He never came back - where
is he? I don’t know. That’s all it takes. I can give you the word of
honour. If anybody of you can understand Japji, you can understand the
entire wisdom of God. In these forty pauris the whole thing is
contained. The entire Siri Guru Granth Sahib is the explanation of that

18 questions on Sadhana 19 y
And their Answers!
Question: What is the greatest reward of doing sadhana?
Answer: The greatest reward of doing sadhana is that the person becomes incapable of being defeated. Sadhana is a self-victory, and it is a victory over time and space. Getting up is a victory over time, and doing it is a victory over space. That is what sadhana is. And when you do a sadhana in the sangat, you enrich yourself in multiple ways. First, the isolation which can hit anybody and make them go totally crazy is defeated. Secondly, when all of you meditate on God, the total effect of your sadhana becomes multiplied by the n ... read more

3rd Eye in Yoga 19 y
More on the 3rd eye-a form of opening up to ture self, Sat Nam, and looking at tip of the nose with eyes mostly shut- a grounding and stablizing gesture.
The ”unwanted or unneeded habits” you speak of is the refusal to receive
and interpret perceptions accurately. When practicing we are increasing
the space and opportunity to receive through our senses and so it is
important to keep an open mind and not allow preconceived pictures
(thoughts) to cloud perceptions. Once impressions are received we can
aggressively use them for thinking and drawing more substantial
conclusions. This capacity is a function of a healthy Pituitary gland.
In your words focusing at the third eye, ”allows us to open up to
something new”. That ”something ne ... read more

3rd Eye or the tip of the nose for eyes meditation position during warrior pose
The question ases P was: Where are the eyes placed during the Warrior Pose-3rd Eye Position or mostly closed and looking at the tip of the nose?
Answer:
Sat Nam, either way exerts a subtle and sometimes not so subtle
pressure on the optic nerve. Yogi Bhajan gave us the option of doing
it either way (That’s whats so nice about KY, it gives us a lot of
flexibility! ;))
Some days one way works best for me, on another day the other way is

BREATHING TECHNIQUES FOR KUNDALINI YOGA
By Susan Boles
Most of us don’t know how to breathe properly. We take shallow breaths as
if we are afraid of what breath does. But breath is manna to our
bodies...so we should drink heavily and deeply to energize and feed our
bodies. I was taught by breathing in to the count of four...slow counts.
Feel the breath expand your ribcage.....you are aiming to fill your whole
chest cavity with air. At the end of the fourth, when you think you can’t
take any more air in, take a sip more. Hold for a count of four. Exhale
over a count of fou ... read more
