It depends on what your reasons are for doing the SWF. If it is a bowel cleansing protocol, then it is acceptable. If it is just to purge last nights binge..ixnay!
Your body is a huge chemical factory, and when you begin messing with it, you will throw it out of balance. When we are fasting, we are not taking in food and the body is not in a digestive mode. This makes a difference than when the body is secreting acids, enzymes and such to deal with food. The *flora* in your gut is an important part of that process which is also why, when we break our fast, it works better when you replace that flora which the salt water flushes out using probiotics or yogurt or acidophilus.
