Jackie,
Day Three was the absolute WORST day of the fast for me... I've done 3 thirty day fasts and many 2 week fasts... Day three is always the worst for me. Day four, I usually wake up and realize I am over the hump. I realize I can make it. For me, Day Four was always that magical day...
It takes the digestive system between 3 and 5 days to shut down completely, so those first few days or so of a fast can be HORRIBLE. After it shuts down, the hunger is gone. This is not to say you won't crave foods or feel psychologically hungry cause you will now and then, but the actual physical hunger is gone once the digestive system shuts down.
Some tips: If you're feeling hungry DRINK MORE JUICES... focus on the greens they really really work. Make some hot veggie or fruit broth (without boullion) and sip the broth, it will convince your belly that you're eating and satisfied. I also make hot lemon/cayenne pepper tea... that stuff works in so many ways. Keeps you warm when you start freezing... (happens on fasts), makes you think you're filling up (like the broths do) and stops cravings... Try it out, you may like it. Just heat water like for tea, squeeze a lemon and add it to the water, add honey or agave nectar for sweetness and then add a pinch or so of the cayenne pepper, stir, sip. Adjust to suit your taste.

I never limited myself with the juices. Never. I drank lots and lots of water, lots and lots of juices (focused on greens), a few cups or so of hot herbal teas and or hot lemon cayenne pepper tea and veggie broths. I drank more water than juices, more juices than herbal teas and more herbal teas than broths... and for the most part, after Day Three, the rest of the juice fast was a relative breeze. Check out those links, they will help you.
When you're feeling ill, or detoxing, drink more juices, especially with greens, rest and it will pass quickly.
I hope this helps...
I'm rooting for you.
*hugs*
