well, I definitely fit in the "burden" other people category. I dont usually talk looking for advice -- but sometimes I just need to vent or I may explode!

however, if possible I will play music -- I play several instruments and if they are available to me that will usually send me to my happy place :-) and I like to play in the dirt (or just water my plants), knit or crochet (or sew - time permitting), take a walk in the woods (not much of an option these dayz), swim, hum, jump up and down, stretch, walk .... take slow deep breaths


trouble is -- sometimes I am too busy to do anything in the second paragraph -- except for the deep slow breaths (which actually work quite good if I am calm enough to remember to do them ....) but fortunately or unfortunately - usually there's someone around to vent to .... and for some reason when my thoughts come out of my mouth -- no matter how bad they seem in my brain - if I say them, they seem less horrific. As I grow older I try to be more sensitive to whom I share my thoughts with and when ... and I know that many people feel as you do, daizy, about others venting to them so I have worked to be more sensitive to this ...
