I'm not in the west coast... not yet at least. I'm right here deep in the South. You can mail order cacao from the Internet. Some brands are better than others I've been told, but I have no experience which ones what.
Do you have a Whole Foods near you? Or a food co-op?
If you are unable to locate a good supplier, drop me an email and I'll respond to you personally.
