The Via jet is designed clearly as an oral irrigator with inexpensive latex and rubber "O"rings. These can cause allergy sensitivity as well as contribute to rubber and latex residue as a result of the saline which can degrade the "O" rings and seals. In addition, the unit does not have a calibrated pulse rate designed for nasal irrigation but is simply a high pressure wash for the teeth. The Hydro Pulse is designed with medical grade silicone seals to resist corrosion from saline and is calibrated to pulse at 1050 - 1200 PPM to effectively restore ciliary function. The Hydro Pulse is UL Approved and FDA registered specifically for Nasal Irrigation and is even eligible for insurance reimbursement.

From a value standpoint, the Hydro Pulse includes 2 Sinus Irrigator tips, 2 Throat Irrigator Tips, Breathe-ease Nasal moisturizer and Irrigation Solution, and excerpts from Dr. Grossan's book, The Sinus cure. From my view point a Very good value. I would not settle for seconds or shortcuts when dealing with your nose and sinus health. IF the Hydro Pulse is good enough for the LA Lakers and NY Yankees it is good enough for me.
