ahhh... so open your heart my dear...
love... has mysterious healing to give...
in giving of oneself is to overcome ones fear...
freedoms in the letting go... it's when one begins to live...
ahhh... but this being all contingent...
on ones willingness to forgive...

it's our pain that holds us down...
we cling to it... with such bitter hate...
as if there's no other way out... but drown...
and a life of misery... seems our destined fate...
death would seem a blessing... life seems unbearable...
it's at the crescendo of our death march... that we let go...
and move that awesome 18 inches... from our head down to our heart...
and the walls of hate... evaporate... and our life seems just to start...

our lives taking on a new meaning...
we seek constantly to improve...
through self examination...
along these paths we soon discover...
prayer and meditation...
and it's as if a light turned on...
as you discover that all along...
your enemy was "you"...

one can learn much from a turtle...
it seems a simple enough place to start...
for he only moves when he sticks his neck out...
this little hard shelled creature... with so much heart...
