Is THAT what it is? Last week I was having trouble with my car brakes--actually, they were working fine, but when I applied them at the end of the day when they were "hot" there was a loud "clunking" sound. took it to the mechanic, twice, worried that the car would suddenly lose its brakes. mechanic couldn't find anything wrong with the brakes and didn't hear any "clunk" sound. Since the second look by the mechanic, who didn't do any adjusting or work, there hasn't been any more "clunk" sound.
