I am certainly not poor but I have such a large family to support that I have almost no disposbale income. As the costs of life have increased, I have less and less money each day for healthy foods. I have had to be very creative to feed my family and keep my utilities on. I believe we magnatize what need into our lives if we can listen to our spirit. There are so many times that I have picked tomatoes off of a garden that was abandoned by its owner. I came across 10 lbs of walnuts that no one wanted. Great protein for free. In my yard I have apple, pear, peach, pecan and lots of other fruit baring trees just when I started juicing. How did it happen? I think they came into my life because a I appreciated them. I take my baby out and we pick a ripe fig off of the fig tree and have a yummy snack or pick the apples and juice them and throw in some black berries when they are ripe. I don't own this place...I rent it but I didn't even see those trees as sources of food until I started looking for those types of ways to be healthy. Now these days, I am financially broke but I am fruit rich. If I was in Sudan, those trees might make me appear unimaginably wealthy to some. I eat lots of fruits and nuts but I also cheat at the grocery store by getting organic apple sause; "An apple a day keeps the doctor begging for his bread." It really is not much more than non-organic applesause. Avacados are a great food as a substitute for protein as well. I don't give much meat to my baby and she loves avacados. She is the healthiest human being I have ever known. She lights up my life and I try to give her healthy foods when there is no way I could afford to if I had to pay for them. I am moving soon though. It will be interesting to see what new foods I wil attract into my life. Try magnetizing the type of foods you need...It is worth a try...
