Thank you Lapis for this article. As a person living with MCS for over 20 years, I usually don't read articles about it anymore as I always cringe at all of the chemical factors involved. I can say I react to every single one of them named in this article, and have experienced most of the symptoms listed, and it is depressing to say the least. I appreciate it that the writer emphasises that MCS is NOT a psychiatric disorder, although many people with MCS develop depression and anxiety as a result of this chronic illness, secondary to the social isolation and loss of functioning that ensue.
I appreciate your effort to educate people about this disorder. Prevention, if possible, is worth well more than a pound of cure.
