Thanks very much, Leslie, I am enjoying your blogs very much! I want to ask you about the biodynamic composting man, Peter in Costa Mesa--does he sell his compost?!?!?!? I want very much to buy some, and learn how to do it myself, too! You also wrote about someone else in L.A., a student of Peter's, who supplies compost. I'd need a huge truckful delivered, and then I can have my gardeners spread it around. My yard desparately needs some help, NOW, before I get a chance to start composting myself. There is some sign of the same "blight" that spread all over last year, already starting again--little black dots that get on the leaves and corrode them, and warp and twist new leaf growth. I think all the foliage needs soil nutrients--the place hasn't gotten any fertilizer for many, many years! Help!
Question: Is compost the same as mulch?
