As far as my experience is concerned FIR saunas have powerful healing abilities, only not if used as normally directed. What I found is it’s not a series of intense sprints but a slower paced marathon which will give you the victory over disease.
Recently I came down with a nasty infection which was diagnosed as a type of walking pneumonia. Happily I was already an owner of a sauna (the cheap $300 portable kind) and began diligently following the instruction of the “experts” which is at least 5 sessions a day for 15 minutes at high heat (125F to 160F). My symptoms only seemed to worsen, and while looking at FIRS websites for more helpful advice I came across this ancient observation by none other than the father of modern medicine, Hippocrates.
“Give me a fever, and I can cure any disease.”
Interested I started investigating and discovered that fevers are now believed to be beneficial in that they seem to empower the immune system while simultaneously weakening invaders - who prefer it cool while performing their dirty work.
So I started wondering how temperatures of 115 up to 160F were going to help fight sickness when a typical fever is considered high at only 102F. Also, how many times have you run a fever that stopped after only 15 minutes? My illness was producing nothing over 98F… was this the reason I was having so much trouble getting over it?
At this point I decided to take Hippocrates to his word and use my modern technology to mimic a natural fever as closely as possible. I found I could sweat quite adequately (after an initial high temperature kick start) with the machine at its lowest power setting, even turning it off completely for stretches. When I began to stop sweating I heated it up again, and found I could spend hours inside without the fatigue or high heart rate of normally prescribed temps.
After one day of three two hour sessions (with short bathroom/hydration breaks included) I slept like a baby and awoke nearly symptom free. In fact I felt better than I had in a long time… and it’s been that way since – as I now try to incorporate these longer sessions into my free time. My theory is that parasitic microorganisms are tougher then we realize and it takes a prolonged siege to dislodge them from our bodies.
One word of caution… I was already an experienced FIRS user and these longer sessions apparently may be dangerous if you aren’t already broken in. This is especially so for users with heart issues, the elderly or very sick.
Otherwise why not take Hippocrates up yourself and see what other ailments can be cured with this remarkable device, perhaps “fever simulator” is a better term for them.
Good luck and let me know how it goes. Add This Message To Your CureZone Favorites!
