I have used the cleaning power of soap nuts for years. first I used them as laundry detergent. Then I made liquid soap out or them for the floors and windows. . It works better than my home-made and it comes with organic essential oil of lavender. And I use Maggie's Laundry Liquid on my hair. My mother would flip. I think it is great. My hair does not need to be washed as often. I think that is because the soap nuts are so gentle they don't strip the hair like normal shampoos. It doesn't make suds so that can take some real getting used to. But suds aren't necessary for cleaning, my HE washer taught me that.
