Anandi,
It is true that at one time, I was unable to digest meat. My body had such a difficult time digesting meat, that my body temperature would rise by 20 degrees just because my digestive system was so weak due to years of health problems. When my body temperature got hot, I would sweat, which made me smell because I was toxic and dis-eased. So yes, cutting out meat allowed my body time to heal. However, as a consequence, I became malnourished because my diet was so limited.
It's easy to come to the misleading conclusion that the wrinkling was unique to my sitiuation, because I had other food sensitivities, which contributed to my malnourished state. However, I did research on wrinkled hands, thin skin, etc. What I found was many people were asking why their skin was so wrinkly and then they'd say something like, "I don't understand because I eat so healthy. I'm a vegetarian/vegan." Then I read others who said their wrinkly skin got better after eating meat again. At around the same time, I began eating meat again and to my amazement, my skin got drastically better-- most notably my hands. So the conclusion that I came to is that this is what caused my wrinkled skin and if other people are eating the same diet and have very wrinkly skin too, that is probably their problem.
I mentioned that vegetarian/vegan diets can be followed in a healthy way if they follow a healthy diet with lots of variety. If you believe that being vegan/vegetarian is right for you, please go for it. Don't let my personal opinions stop you. Take what you like from my experience and go your own way. I welcome others to write their own wonderful vegan blogs of their very own.
