Hello! So nice to hear that someone else is joining the fasting journey. I understand what you mean: support is so important during a fast, and unfortunatly, most of us are surrounded by people who have no idea of what we are doing and actually blame it. So better off not advertising the fast around us, but come to websites such as this one for support. I fasted several times and am currently on a fast (see my blog) There is one thing I would like to share with you: i realized that the scale will dramatically vary. Basically, you could wake up tomorrow and loose 5 pounds, and then not loose anything the next few days. Then again, the following week, you would wake up incredibly thinner and would have lost 8 pounds. So please, really, do not put so much stress on the daily weighin. That will only disapoint you and you will end up breaking the fast. Trust me, I have done that countless times. Hope this helps. By the way, I have drank wine on a fast before. Frankly speaking, I don't think there is anything dramatically wrong with it. However, it might trigger hunger because of the sugar in it. Also, because your body is so clean, you will get a buzz quicker and harder. That might lead you to be mentally weaker and let yourself indulge on some snacks. :) hope this helps!
