Hey, this is the encouragement you asked for! You can do it! Yes, it is hard, but as far as cravings go, first take everything out of your house that you would otherwise dig into, maybe wait until you eat what's left and then progressively start the fast as you eat less and less each day. Since you've never done one before, make sure you supplement with cleansers or build up on nutrients on raw foods for at least a week, depending on how long you are planning to go for. Fasting is much easier once you have not eaten processed foods for awhile, for processed food is an addiction itself! Eat a meal of a hearty fruit salad or smoothie the night before you begin, and you will be left with that delicious taste in stead of your favorite sandwich or something.
I myself am beginning a weeklong fast the day after Thanksgiving (which is a full moon, and therefore the perfect time to begin!). I will probably be keeping a blog , so feel free to check it out and we can help each other out? I have been eating so much bread the past couple of weeks and I don't even know why...but I have to get back to raw foods and a great way to do this is by fasting so that I can appreciate my body's true cravings--this is what it's all about, in my mind.
Let me know how it goes!
