My heart goes out to you and your community. I hope everything is ok. I have been worried as I have family in the San Diego area.
I live in NYC. The air quality was terrible after 911 as were our hearts over the loss of life. What really helped were the many musicians, poets and speakers who came forward to help the troubled souls. Suddenly there was folk music everywhere.
At many of the evacuation centers in California people have nothing to do but wait it out. They may be receiving donated clothes, blankets and food, but perhaps some talented volunteers could come forward and entertain them in some way.
Music can be so soothing. I can't imagine how they must feel after losing their homes and personal belongings. My cousin has started a children's center at her local community college evacuation center to help entertain the children.
Anyway it is just a thought. Below is suggested donations and locations.
