I have completed a 12 day water fast before and am currently on day 2 of a new water fast. You're doing great! If you are truly seeking God, He will open your heart to Him. Have you thought about researching the 40 day fast Jesus Christ did? It's in the Holy Bible in 'Luke' chapter 4 and 'Matthew' chapter 4.

You had an atheist comment and say he wouldn't recommend any gods for you. Why do I? I have experience with the One True God---God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, and the Holy Spirit. You can learn about God by reading the Holy Bible. I was first introduced to the knowledge of God, Jesus, heaven, etc. when I went to a Christian church as a child. It was not until I was 17 years old that I began reading the Holy Bible for myself to find out who God really was. I am now 30 years old and for the last 13 years every time I have sought God myself, I have found Him. I have many personal experiences with Him, and that is why I can recommend you seek Him yourself by reading the Holy Bible.

It took me several years of reading, studying, attending a local Christian church, Bible studies, talking with Christian friends, etc. to feel like I understand a lot about God, His place in my life, and my place in the world. It only took a very short time, however, from reading the Holy Bible for myself, for me to understand God loves me no matter what I've done. He accepts me and offers His love to me as a gift. He will forgive me if I ask Him to forgive me He gives me strength and the desire to stop doing those same wrong things. I have a unique love for others and myself after having accepted His love for me and His forgiveness (try reading 'John' chapter 3).
