My third thought was that if science and men in lab coats
begin to experiment with acupuncture and studying the release
or facilitation of chi...ggg...then they will most likely be
looking for a way to shut it down or weaponize it~!

My first thought was YES, another way, like the bear learns to lean
against the tree to scratch and stimulate a reaction, manipulating
the meridians using reflexology and acupuncture must be very old
modalities and how fortunate we are that they have survived in
spite of efforts in the west to suppress them. So, in that vein,
it is a good thing that attention is being focused on it since now
there is a strong movement to legitimize it, allow insurance to
cover it, and to encourage people to use it.

My experience with acupuncture came when many efforts using
allopathic medicine had failed and I was close to death. My
acupuncturist was a Heart Specialist who had been in China
and had fallen sick and had agreed to acupuncture for his
treatment. He was blown away and embraced acupuncture and learned
it and became the head of the American Acupuncturist Association.
He saved my life and claimed more than a few miracles which he
attributed to acupuncture.

My second thought, which is why your article attracted me was
curiosity behind the mechanism of blockages etc. I have been
enjoying a chi fest of late and had that boundless energy
that wellness can inspire...then I had two bouts of food poisoning
and I have good hours and then intervals of zero energy. I have
to admit, that wellspring of chi I was enjoying seems elusive now
and I do wonder how to take the kink out of my *hose* so-to-speak.

I noticed a new acupunture clinic in town and it may be time to
go introduce myself and become a human pin cushion...ggg.
