I ate too much over the past few days so now I'm uncomfortable. My digestive system is screaming at me right about now, so I took it easy on the food today. I've been taking Ginseng, Omega 3 6 9 caps, plus cayenne pills over the past few days, which has helped increase my energy somewhat-- enough to get out of bed and actually get some things done around the house and visit relatives. I'll continue with the supplements because they do help, but I'm still seeing my doctor to discuss my suspicions about what's wrong with me.

Today's my 38th birthday, so I think my health should be my main concern- a gift to myself, to take care of my body, mind & spirit. The trouble with western doctors is that they tend to be one track minded when it comes to treating patients. We're a body, and a dollar sign, maybe . . . but what about the heart and mind? What about treating the underlying causes of dis-ease? It seems unbalanced. We need the medical community, with its scientific/material input but we lack understanding of the spirit, here in the west. We need both, imho. It's kind of sad that we have to seek out care of the spirit (mind/emotions/etc.) separately from care of the body that houses it. I hope that changes, and that more medical practitioners will become open to alternative medicine-- maybe even refer us to others who can help us.

Anyway, still gearing up for the big quit day and the more I think about it, the more excited I am to get better. I just want to live my life to fullest, and have the energy to enjoy every day, rather than dragging myself through life. I guess that's what everyone wants for themselves. One step at a time. The supplements are gradually making me feel stronger each day but I'm not 'better' by a long shot. I've got a long way to go. Rather than overwhelming myself though, I'm taking it one day at a time. The ache in my body is still there, and so is the stomach trouble but at least I'm not sleeping all the time the past few days. Small steps.

    • First it may take a while...   by  kerminator     16 y     1,057

Yes I understand that we all would like the answer yesterday,  but if it took all these years to get to where you are then it may take some time...  That out of the way you need to put together your background, and do in in chronological order...

Then try to sort out the various items and group them as need as possible to get a better picture of what has happened , when and why...  Once you have some shart or outline then you should be able to see some patterns or trends...

If you can get this far stop back by any of my blogs or my web site @ http://www.simplytruth.com... and we will review your situation and try to help you make some progress...  We seek the truth, like it or not!!

      See YA... Kermit

        Hi Kerminator,

I appreciate your advice and will try to do as you suggest with the chronology. The problem is, I've had a totally chaotic childhood-- went to 26 different schools, believe it or not, and just from revealing that, you'll see there's no way I can figure it all out. My life's stable now-- the past few years have been the best I've ever had, thanks to my husband and kids, which is partially why I don't understand why I'd fall apart now of all times. lol

I'll check out your blog, though. I look forward to reading it.

        Take care,
        Faran
