I am so glad I found this website. I mean, I don't think I've ever found a more inspiring, knowledgeable, or supportive resource before in my life. The wealth of information has been incredible and I'm so grateful to all those out there who have been so kind to offer a sincere and helping hand.

I'm a person who is fascinated with the dynamic of mind over matter. I dive into any reading I can get my hands on where this is concerned. I think I would love to consider studying Tai Chee, a type of martial arts which I know nothing about. The thing about it tho, I've read numerous stories about folks who've mastered this notion of mind over matter, and that's just it, I've just read about it. Every time I dive into this type of reading, I say to myself "I really want to accomplish this too." But then for some reason I don't follow through.

I honestly know I have the capability of doing anything I want to do.....lose weight, cut my golf handicap in half, be in the best physical shape of my life, but for some reason I'm the queen of getting on the hardcore bandwagon with no one stopping me for about 24-48 hrs, then I cave, and end up back where I started from with those old habits.

So I'm reading this book in passing right now. It's called something like "The Millionaire Mind." I love reading about the psychology of how winners win. The book talks about our preconceived and unconscience "blueprint" identifying how successful a person will or will not be and the reasons why. I've noticed as I read the pages, this millionnaire blueprint the author talks about isn't exclusive to monitary success but can be adopted to every aspect of our life.

He goes on to talk about how as children we were programmed to subconsciencely adopt the values, beliefs and habits of our parents and we carry those same behaviors out in our own lives, unconsciencely, as a result of the learned environment. I'm only about 25% through the book, but he also talks about methods for reconditioning our minds and behavior which I look forward to learning more about. I hope to make this an accomplishment in my life too.

I've noticed that habits can be very powerful. A habit....hmmmmm what exactly is a HABIT anyway? For example, going a lengthy period of time w/out working out and then that habit continues to perpetuate into days, weeks, and years getting easier to get away from w/ each passing day; conversely, those who get on the workout bandwagon and then really hate it if they miss even once.....habits. Or like with drinking....no one there to stop you or no reason in one's mind to stop while they're doing it (let's get real, while I'M doing it), even making indirect and unconscience excuses so it can happen. The whole thing becomes a spiral that gets bigger and bigger.

The tough thing about it, realistically speaking, in order for humans to change habits it's usually a result of getting slapped in the face with a major life changing tragic occurance. Like people with severe obesity to the point it become a life or death deal....while they were spiraling with this habit, it wasn't until death knocked on the door to incurr the change. Or like with a drug addict that overcomes the addiction.....rarely do you see many addicts who've kicked the habit without a life changing reason, right? I'm going to take a real daily habits inventory from my smallest habits to the biggest habits.

One thing I will say is that I have a newfound respect for the phrase "no pain, no gain." Let's face it, in attaining self esteem you have to put the work and the sweat into that garden to see, and THEN truly enjoy the blossoms. Happiness, self esteem and self worth of life is a series of doing the digging so you can enjoy the fruits of your labor. You could hire the work out, but you won't love it and most importantly yourself for having accomplished it. That's the bottom line. Period. Paragraph. Journey on.......

This website is awesome. I am so glad I got some feedback from my pictures. I could not see it. Then when 2 people said that they could, I saw it too! Isn't that so weird? We as people have to come together and help each other. When you live in a world where your next door neighboor could be the next serial killer, your mind is always going, going, and going and never at ease. I wonder what I'm going to do after my juice fast? I know I want to keep in touch with my blog and everyone here. I think this is very healthy activity and not like my other habits which are alcohol and it used to be playing games on the computer. This website did take over my gaming time and I thank it! Never give up on anything. Nothing is out of reach. We are human and will make mistakes, but as long as you can use your mind, it's mind over matter! It's that awesome? I hope to be walking on water soon if I keep this up. Haha!
