  • Yesterday’s Experience   by  thomas     19 y     3,243       4 Messages Shown       Blog: Journey of Light
Yesterday I underwent a guided meditation that turned out to be an absolutely wonderful experience. It was so good that I figured I would share it. There actually wasn’t that much to the guiding part, but the setup was to call in certain angels who would help lead each person on their own private path to the Garden of Eden. Once in the Garden of Eden you would then be able to experience your true essence.

I started the meditation and thankfully a vision of a path quickly manifested itself. This still amazes me as there was a time that I never was able to get anything during guided meditations. I would try really hard but there were times there was just nothing there. I can remember being guided in meditation where they lead you into a room and in this room is a door and the answer to all your dreams or something else was just behind the door. All you have to do is open the door and the answer would be on the other side. Well most times I could picture the room and the door, but there was never anything on the other side. I am sort of realizing now that I am writing this that it probable was not an issue of not being able to visualize, especially since I am a very visual person as I paint and do photography, but one of resisting the message. Oh well, I’m glad I got that straight. Anyway, I guess now I am just glad that I am open enough to be able to visualize and get the message. It definitely makes guided meditations a lot more fun.

So I was able to visualize pretty quickly the path before me. It was lined with different stones and appeared to be out in a jungle somewhere. I saw the path but there was nothing else around except the jungle. So I decided to walk along the path and see where it led. I eventually came upon some stairs that opened up into a stone temple. The temple was made of huge stone blocks and was very reminiscent of the Mayan culture. It had that Mayan look and feel to it. I walked up the steps and entered the temple. Before me was a fountain of some sort. At least that is what it appeared to be at first. Once I got a little closer it looked more like a pool. Once I saw it I had the sense that it was a ritual bath of some sort probable for cleansing. So I decided to enter the pool and cleanse myself. I went with the intention of cleansing and releasing as much as I could. Once I thought I was ready, I stood up in the pool. I felt so much lighter and I could feel the light emanating within me. Within a couple of seconds I could feel my body starting to separate from itself. It was as if my body was starting to break apart, but not in a bad sense. My body was breaking down into what I considered to be the subatomic particles. I was no longer the form but the particles that manifested that form. And the interesting thing was that these particles were not scattered all over the place. They were in harmony and working in unison with each other. They were separate but unified at the same time. I then noticed that these particles then joined together and started to transform or manifest themselves into lots of different animals. They became everything from birds to mammals and even insects. It was happening so fast that I could hardly even tell what all the shapes were.

Eventually the transforming stopped and the particles separated again and went into the water. The next thing I knew the particles were now gone and there was just the most amazing light coming up and out of the water. The light took on every color of the rainbow and was just amazing in its beauty. It spread out across everything and they were flashing and moving. There was great movement and energy in this light.

Then the lights stopped and there was this wash of pink or red light across my entire vision. It was almost as if there were no other colors than this one. And at the same time as this color, I had the most amazing feeling of a giant bear hug. That’s what it felt like. A deep sense of love and comfort. I experienced this hug for a while and then the time was up so I started to come out of the meditation. I didn’t mind that it was over as I felt I had gotten everything.

It was just an amazing experience. As I said the goal was to experience my true essence and for me that essence was energy, light and love which are the three most powerful elements of the universe.

Later on after the meditation I was talking with a friend who was telling me how she had been drawing this week and found herself drawing different symbols. Two of these symbols were a hand and a spiral. I found this really interesting as one of my paintings I create this week was two hands with a spiral inside the palm of each hand. It wound up being a really interesting coincidence. So based on this she was telling me how the other day she picked up a book and card deck based on sacred geometry. It is actually called Sacred Geometry and is by Francene Hart. The book consisted of images of the different cards in the deck and then their respective meanings. So I flipped through the pages to see if I could find a picture of a spiral to see what meaning it may have. After flipping through I really didn’t find anything that fit. So she suggested that I test out the cards by shuffling them and see what I got that way. So I decided to shuffle them and I got card number 57 which was associated with Dodecahedron. Now without realizing it I thought the 57 stood for the page and not the card number. So I decided to turn to page 57 and see what it had to say. When I turned to the page I was amazed to see that the main heading was The Mayan Dream. The subheading was called spiral/cosmic connection. It was just amazing to me the synchronicity in all this. There was just such a connection between our conversation regarding the spiral and what I experienced in the meditation.

So here is what the card had to say: “Spirals compose the most basic geometry of life and speak to us on a level of our deepest knowing. Spirals both curve and move in an angular fashion. This card contains both curved and angular spirals. The design at the top and sides is painted on a wall in the ruined city of Palenque in Chiapas, Mexico. It is symbolic of the beginning, the germination, the essence, and the seed from which all life springs. IN the background is the temple of the inscriptions. This temple contains the tomb of the Mayan King Pacal the Great, whose sarcophagus has been the subject of much research and conjecture. In choosing this card you are asked to enter dreamtime and find the inner journey to your spiral beginnings. As spirals are the purest form of moving energy, you can travel the spiral dream journey to the level of subatomic particles and watch them reveal their spiral vortices. You can also travel to galaxies, watching the magnificent dance as they go spinning through space. This is the dream that connects microcosm and macrocosm. This is the dream that will help you realize your place in the universe… not small or insignificant, but an integral part of a glorious whole.”

As you can see, this turned out to be an amazing confirmation of everything I experienced in the meditation. I really was able to experience the essence of who I was and who we all really are. I also found the Mayan connection to be interesting and I have to look into that more closely to see if there is some more information lying in wait for me there. Not sure what, but it would be interesting to find out. After reading about the spirals, I did realize that this had nothing to do with the actual card I picked which was the dodecahedron. I finally realized that it was the card number not the page number, so I decide to see what that meant. The dodecahedron was actually a symbol of divine thought which wound up being a further confirmation for me that what I experienced came from God.

Just to reiterate, the meaning of the cards came from the Sacred Geometry Oracle Deck by Francene Hart.
