Blog: My 120 Day Broad Fast
I ate some regular food and then started counting my time again. Today I tried to juice Joe's mean green famous drink. I forgot to buy cucumbers so I had to modify the recipe. I found it to be very filling. I could only sip on it after a few swallows and this is after I had not had anything to eat for around 23 hours. It made me feel full. I don't know if this was just me today or if that is the way I will react to his drink. I put in a lot of ginger and added extra celery to make up for no cucumber. I also added a jalapeno pepper without the seeds. The drink was very strong, but I loved it.
Joe's Mean Green Juice Recipe
1 Bunch Kale
4 Stalks Celery
1 Cucumber
2 Granny Apples
1/2 Lemon
Ginger Root

Hi Healthybodyheadtotoe,
I apologize for not getting back to you. I just saw your post today. The drink was fine on my system. I have a very strong digestive system. I got off the fast again so I have not been blogging. I decided to try something different. The idea of the blog was to help me stay on the fast and remain focused. I suppose it helped, but I have been disappointed in myself. They say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results. This was the way I was beginning to feel. This lead me to more research and prayer for some new answers. I found myself researching chlorella and spirulina. Many seem to have found health using these products. At least one, if not more, claimed cravings went away after using these for a while. People claim that they lose the desire for bad foods and no longer eat them. I ordered some and I am working on drinking these powders along with green powders. One of my problems is finding the time to juice. If I can find a powder that is just as nutritious and beneficial as fresh green juices that would really be a plus for me. The amount of time saved would be enormous. I have found one green powder that claims to be more nutritious than raw fruits and vegetables. I have not ordered it yet, but plan to try it when I get low on what I have. If this stuff has the same effect on me that others claim I should not need to look for support in a blog. I am just waiting to see what happens to my body and mind. I may come back to blogging.
