Blog: My Weight Loss Journey
The first 24 hours after the fast I drank juice. Towards the end of it I also ate some papaya. I went to the farmer's market and bought some fruits and vegetables so I should have plenty of raw fruits and vegetables on hand to help me transition from the fast to eating again. I have recuperated from the nausea and faint feelings, but I still do not have my energy back.

You did AMAZING and yes you pushed yourself too far (live & learn). It will take a moment to get your blood sugar and electrolytes in balance. What a HUGE accomplishment. Ask some random people if they have ever not eaten for 7 days and most would say, "Dear God no!" Embrace your power! It just seems like you don't give yourself enough praise!
You will get your energy back but take it easy. Lay out in the sun and eat your mango. A nice salty soup broth would be great right now - like miso soup.
I bet that was the best mango you ever ate. I am salivating just thinking about it.
I also broke my last long fast with fruit and then I boiled a yukon gold potato and some cabbage - It was heaven.
I'm so proud of you. It's good to read about someone who likes herself enough to take care of herself.I hope you keep posting!
Cheers,
Kate

Thank you for the encouragement. I'm glad you think that I pushed myself too far as well. It makes me feel like it was just not one of my crazy ideas. Yes, if I would not have done that I may have made it for the ten days. I'm getting my energy back now. Once in a while I still feel a little weak in the knees. Thanks for reading my blog. I enjoy yours as well. It is motivating. Happy fasting to you. :)
